Data and trust

How MeetMate event data works.

Every listing should remain traceable to the organisation or document that published it.

Official source types

Swimming organisations

National and regional swimming association event calendars and competition pages.

Clubs and organisers

Official club websites, meet pages and published event notices.

Meet documents

Meet information, programmes, qualifying criteria, psych sheets and official entry documents.

Registration platforms

Official entry links and deadline information published by the organiser.

Publication workflow

MeetMate uses a structured pipeline: source discovery, page and document extraction, event identity matching, field validation, source evidence checks and a publication gate. Automated extraction is not treated as sufficient proof on its own.

Missing or uncertain fields

A blank or unavailable field means the information was not obtained with enough confidence from the official source. MeetMate should not infer an entry deadline, venue or qualification requirement simply because a similar event used one previously.

Important: Always confirm final entry conditions, session times, venue changes and withdrawals with the official organiser.

Updates and corrections

Event information may change after publication. MeetMate links back to official sources and provides a correction channel. A verified correction should be reflected in the next data update.
